Basic Astronomy for Outdoor Educators
Topics: constellation identification and observable patterns in the night sky, mythology storytelling, and telescope operation
Overview: See how educators prepare to share the night sky with others! This course will prepare Outdoor Educators to teach the popular lesson "Astronomy Night"! The course is designed to teach outdoor educators how to communicate topics in astronomy to 5th grade students, including content that supports Next Generation Science Standards for 5th grade.Trainer Collin O'Mara-Green will share his tips and tricks to connect celestial objects to our terrestrial lives.
