Topics: Rule of 3's, Pre-Outing Preparedness / Hazards, Ten Essentials, Aid-less navigation (Shadow stick, Stars, Landscape, etc), Survival Shelters including building a Debris Hut, Fire-making: Bow and Drill and Hand-drill and modern, Finding Water and Water Purification, Wild Foods and Useful Plants, Tools / Utilitarian
Overview: In this 7 hour class, participants get instruction, with plenty of hands-on practice, on the basic but essential Outdoor Skills needed to survive in the wilderness. You will learn Survival Priorities, Ten Essentials and Preparedness, Aid-less Navigation, Thermoregulation (Shelters and primitive survival shelter-making as well as Fire/fire-making), Finding and Purifying Water, Food, Edible and Useful Plants, and a general Do's and Don't's in the wilderness. This is a full, information and practice-packed day!
