Transit to Trails: Exploring Temescal Canyon Park

Meet us at Compton Creek Natural Park, where CNC staff will check in participants. We will board a bus, where we will cruise through the Santa Monica Mountains and arrive to Temescal Canyon Park for some interactive activities near the amphitheater.

You will then have the option to join Program Coordinator Zee Zetino on a partial hike to Temescal Canyon Trail or join our Lead Naturalist, Bree Salazar for a Native Tree program. After lunch, we will dive into the art of nature journaling, so bring a writing tool and a used or new notebook where you can write and draw to participate in this activity. If you don’t have a notebook, we can provide you with materials to join in on the fun.

As a reminder, we will spend 9am-4pm (7 hours) together so make sure you bring enough water, a nice filling lunch, and curiosity for the outdoors.…
